More about MFCDC’s rich history.
2020 marks 35 years since the founding of our organization. In 1985, members of North United Methodist Church, Tabernacle Presbyterian Church, Broadway United Methodist Church, Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, and Trinity Episcopal Church joined with the Mapleton-Fall Creek Neighborhood Association to form the Mapleton-Fall Creek Development Corporation (MFCDC). For 35 years, MFCDC has been at the forefront of affordable housing development in the Mid-North area. In light of this milestone, this year’s luncheon will focus on how our past has shaped both our direction for today and our plan for the future.
With the help of our neighbors and community partners, we have laid the groundwork for comprehensive, neighborhood-based development in the city of Indianapolis. In the year 2020, MFCDC will re-align our efforts with our core mission of affordable housing development in order to maximize our impact in the community. We invite you all not only to celebrate our rich history but also to join us in building better neighborhoods one home at a time.
