This month, MFCDC will hold a public meeting to provide updates on its comprehensive plan to activate the commercial nodes located in the southern portion of Mapleton Fall Creek. This year, construction will begin on three different projects (Fall Creek Flats, Delaware Street Gateway, Central@29) which will advance our housing, community building and economic development efforts. The meeting will provide an opportunity for neighbors to meet the project teams, receive timeline updates and ask questions. The meeting will take place Tuesday, February 23rd, 6pm at MFCDC offices (130 E 30th Street).

Fall Creek Flats is a multifamily building comprised of 47, 1-2 bedroom units.  The development will have 36 units designated as market rate housing and 11 units will be reserved for low to moderate income families.

The Delaware Street Gateway project will improve connectivity and accessibility at the intersection of Delaware Street and Fall Creek Parkway, known as the “Spider.” The improvements will promote a Complete Streets design and include the addition of bicycle boulevards, new sidewalks and enhanced crosswalks.

Central@29 is the centerpiece of the redevelopment effort that will transform two city blocks and enhance the livability and vitality of the area. The mixed-use project will provide 150 mixed-income, multifamily housing units, retail and community shared space.commercialnodes
